3D Modeling with Tinkercard and 3D printing (Grades 4-8)
WENDESDAYS | 2:40-3:40pm
Location: Computer Lab
Instructor: Jesse Kirdahy
Tinkercard is a simplified version of 3D design software from Autodesk, the same company that makes industry leading CAD software for architecture and engineering. In this course, students will learn concepts and skills to design their own 3D objects, and to remix and customize existing models. After designing, these models can be printed, or imported into other projects like original video games or web sites. Students will also learn the ins and outs of preparing their designs for 3D printing using Driscoll's new Prusa printers and the slicing software Slic3r. This course has entry points for everyone from brand new designers, to experienced makers. Requires a PSBMA student account.
This class is limited to 10 students.
