PHOTOGRAPHY (Grades 4-8)
WEDNESDAYS | 2:40-3:40pm
Location: Room 205, Second Floor
Instructor: Robin Radin
Class description: In this class we will review the basics of camera operation, create collage-type sun prints, experiment with painting with light using long camera exposure and flashlight, and go on a photographic treasure hunt. Different themes will be explored: we will take pictures of found objects, take self-portraits, and learn to photograph our immediate surroundings. In addition, we will review student photographs and discuss editing and sequencing.
Students should bring cameras with fully charged batteries and memory cards to every class. Cell phone cameras are also acceptable. After each class students will be encouraged to pick out and print five of their favorite photographs from our weekly photographic outing to bring to class the following week.
Class size limited to 8 students.
