BEHAVIOR POLICYDASA Instructors have the right to address unsafe or disrespectful behavior in order to maintain a safe and positive environment. If the poor behavior continues:
• DASA instructor will notify the DASA director and/or PTO Co-Chairs either by phone, email or in person. • DASA team and/or PTO Co-Chairs will notify the parent(s) of the child(ren) involved. Misbehavior during a DASA class may result in: • Suspension from that day's DASA class • Removal from the remaining DASA classes that session • Or removal from the DASA program If you have any concerns about your child's well-being, speak with your instructor. DROP OFF/PICK UPDROP OFF
DEDP students will first check in with DEDP before attending their DASA classes. Please prepare your child that they are to attend the class they are enrolled in and that it is not the responsibility of the DASA On Site Manager to try and persuade them to attend. Only Kindergarten students will be accompanied to their DASA classes by a DASA team member. Children in grades 1-8 must either walk to their DASA classes independently or be accompanied to their DASA class by a parent/guardian/or caregiver. Food is not permitted in the classrooms. You may pack a snack, which should be eaten in the hallway outside the classroom before the start of class. PICK-UP DEDP students will be brought back to Room 101 by a DASA or DEDP staff member. Pickups for classes ending at 3:35 pm, please arrive at 3:30 pm at back of school to pick up and sign out your child(ren). Pickups for classes ending at 4:45 pm, please arrive at 4:40 pm at back of school to pick up and sign out your child(ren). Pickups for Gymnastics ending at 4:00 pm, please arrive at 3:55 pm back of school to pick up and sign out your child(ren). ABSENTEEISMIf your child is present at school but will be missing his or her DASA class, please let us know. This saves us from calling you to report an absent student!

ALLERGIESThe DASA program is a parent volunteer after school program that try and provide enriching classes for our Driscoll students.
No school nurse is on site during these classes. If your child has a known allergy and needs an inhaler or epi-pen in case of emergencies, please have the necessary medication(s) readily available in your child's backpack. DASA will need to be informed before the start of the session. If you have any concerns about your child's well-being, speak with your instructor.
