Web design and Photo Editing (Grades 4-8)
THURSDAYS | 2:40-3:40pm
Location: Computer Lab
With guidance about safety online, and under supervision, students will create their own landing page on the information superhighway we call the Internet. Students will learn how to stay safe when putting content online, the basics of how the web works, and web design fundamentals. By the end of the course, each student will create their own site with original artwork, and other content of their choice. Using Photopea, a powerful and free online alternative to Photoshop, students will learn how to create original artwork, how to create convincing photo manipulations like "face swaps," and how to touch up photos to make their favorite photos even better. This course has entry points for everyone from absolute beginners to those who are ready to start working directly with HTML/CSS/JS.
This class is limited to 8 students.
