Class description:

Warm up with line dances and gentle stretching before moving into the basics of Hip Hop, Latin, and Ballroom. Finish off class with dance games to boost your creativity and confidence.  During the lessons children will work on posture, balance, coordination, and musicality.  They will enjoy learning how to pair organized and rhythmic movement with their favorite music.  As all ballroom and latin dances are partner dances, children will be exposed to dancing in pairs.  Through their partnerships, children will be expected to show respect for self and others while learning to work effectively as a team.  They will hone their communication skills, and become aware of how nonverbal cues are used to communicate changes within a partnership.  By learning standardized movements and choreographed routines, children will gain the discipline and independence necessary to become accomplished dancers.
